Thundercats Glow in the Dark Puzzle Review

Harrison (who will be 7 next month) and I sat down together to build the Thundercats Glow in the Dark 100 pc Puzzle in our PJs on a very lazy Sunday afternoon at Chez Mama Owl. This puzzle is recommended for ages 6 years plus.

The first thing I noticed about this puzzle was how strong and thick the cardboard pieces were, which I was very impressed with. They are very sturdy and clearly made to last. The image on the puzzle is vivid & colourful, and really brings to life the characters from the cartoon that was actually one of my own favourites from my childhood, and so it was especially nice to be able to share those memories with Harrison and tell him all about the cartoons from “the good old days” (although I did make myself feel quite old in to the bargain…).

We tested out the ‘glow in the dark’ feature later on in the evening (er, when it was dark!) and Harrison – who has always been a big ‘puzzler’ – was rather pleased with his handiwork. Harrison completed the majority of the building work with just a little help from me to get him started (I helped him find some of the corners & edge pieces). He quickly hit his stride and he finished the puzzle in about one hour.

This is a fun and robust puzzle which I would agree suits the recommended age group, and Harrison and I very much enjoyed making this together, and will no doubt happily complete this many times in future. It was actually a very lovely mother & son activity. The Thundercats Glow in the Dark 100 pc Puzzle will be available to purchase from Toys R Us in time for Christmas.
