Paint with Water Pink Review

I’m Laura from Yummy Mummy Flabby Tummy and this is our ninth review from our Toyologist toy box. Today I’m reviewing the Melissa and Doug paint with water pad. This is the pink version for girls. Paint with water will be available to buy from Toys R Us before Christmas.

What is paint with water? Paint with water is a printed picture pad with paints attached to each page. There are 20 pages in the pad filled with pretty pictures of animals, flowers and princesses. This is the pink pad aimed at girls so it really is very girly. The pad comes with a paint brush so all you need to add is water to start painting. There are 6 colours; red, blue, brown, yellow, orange and green. Paint with water is suitable for ages 3 and over.

What’s good about paint with water? If, like me, you don’t do well with lots of mess, this is ideal. Miss C loves to paint and this pad allowed her to enjoy that with very little mess and all the paints there for her to use. She only needed a little water to get the paint to work and she started painting picture after picture. I thought she might finish the pad in one sitting.
As there are a set of paints attached to each picture in the pad, it makes it ideal for taking on holiday with you to keep the kids entertained.

Any drawbacks to paint with water? The only thing that I felt would have made the pad better would have been somewhere to keep the paintbrush as once the film is removed from the pad, the paint brush doesn’t have anywhere to be stored.

Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes I would. Paint with water is great for creative and imaginative play and Miss C loved painting all the pretty pictures. It would make an excellent birthday present or stocking filler.

We give this a big 10/10
