Fisher-Price Giraffe Sit Me Up Floor Seat Review By Sian

This review is part of the Babyologist programme, where a team of hand-selected reviewers put baby products and toys to the test with their little ones for useful insight by parents, for parents.

My first impressions are how friendly and appealing this seat looks and how invitingly brightly coloured it is for a small child.

It only takes a few minutes to construct initially and the instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Fisher-Price, being a well-established brand, seem to have got it just right again! The seat folds up flat making it a convenient choice to take to grandparent’s houses (invaluable in my friend’s case!)

The removable food tray and machine washable seat cover make it a breeze to keep clean and my friend’s daughter Amelia (who is nine months old) certainly tested it to the max!

My little boy Iestyn was too old for me to review this product personally, so my friend Debbie was more than happy to oblige.

Attached to the large giraffe seat cover are two removable teething aids-a lion shaped rattle and brightly coloured circular discs.

This rainforest themed seat is unisex in its appeal and it encourages children to learn and identify a number of creatures.

The circular feet pads (squeakers) which feature a snail and a bee proved to be a big hit with Amelia and encouraged foot movements, which were rewarded with a squeak when tapped with her feet.

Iestyn had a Bumbo seat when he was younger, and having used both, Amelia seemed to be seated in a more comfortable position, without straining her neck.

Sitting in an upright position seems to help children to have a greater interest in what is going on around them and if little pots of food are placed in front of them, will help to encourage weaning.

In conclusion, as two mothers, we would be very happy to endorse this baby product, its versatility and at under £50, this would be a really good buy.
