Although I won’t have an actual baby to test out this chair until May, I was very excited to receive this product to review, as baby chairs are so useful in those first five or so months, and this chair has far better functionality than the hand-me-down rocker chair that we used for my son.
My favourite thing about the Fisher-Price Animals of the World bouncer is its fun, bright and gender-neutral design. This is the sort of design that I tend to choose over boring shades of baby blue or pink.
The fabric can be removed and machine-washed, which is a must in my opinion. It’s made from what seems to be a very wipeable material so is perfect for quick and easy cleaning.
I’m pleased to see that it comes with quite a comprehensive activity bar ( brightly coloured animals and music) as these are great for entertaining older babies.
The bouncy chair was very easy to assemble, it took about five minutes altogether. The chair seems robust with just the right amount of bounce to it.
There are a couple of features that could improve this chair further – the inclusion of a newborn head-hugger would have been useful, and the option to have the chair in more of a lying down position. Without a head-hugger or a more flat position, I am not sure if I would use this chair for my baby in the first month or so, but it is a great bouncy chair from 6 weeks onwards.
